Experience Sarasota: Fresh Salon.Spa.Style

“I think most women want to feel sexy but classy, and current but age appropriate. I always keep this in mind when choosing our clothing and accessories, in addition to considering quality, price, and practicality.”

FRESH: Adjective. See also renewed, green, cool, young, sweet

The world would indeed be a happier place if everyone spent a few hours at Fresh! I payed a visit to their new location right on Main Street to get the full experience of their expanded Salon.Spa.Style setup. The first word that comes to mind is, classy. From the décor to the sweet stylists and specialists, it’s polished and inviting. It all made sense once I met Ashley Bafia who owns and runs Fresh along with sister, Bethany Holmstrom and father, Dan Bafia.

Why should you check this place out? In Ashley’s words, “We think it’s important in a salon or spa to not only feel pampered, but also to feel comfortable.  We are a family owned and operated business, and we want our guests to feel like they are a part of our family.  It's not just about leaving feeling beautiful, but also about having fun while you are here!” At Fresh boutique you can find the latest trends ranging from denim and t-shirts, to cocktail dresses.

The styles are timeless and can translate to a broad age group. I love how Ashley summed it up, “We love simple pieces with unique details that make you stand out in a crowd, without looking like you're trying too hard.”  Yes, please and thank you!

I’m going to make you just a little bit jealous by elaborating on the relaxing, amazing, incredible and refreshing treatments I received at Fresh. What, already jealous? Keep reading to find out what you don’t want to miss out on!

After browsing the boutique brimming with everything from edgy to sweet styles, I walked by the row of stylists happily chatting and styling, took a peek in the gorgeous nail salon (seriously the pedicure chairs look like thrones!), then we walked through a door and were immediately transported from a busy, upbeat, bright salon into a softly lit hallway with relaxing music.

I was taken to the end of the hall where I changed into a luxurious robe and awaited Esthetician, Jodi McVey who would be giving me the SkinCeuticals Customized Facial. Jodi was knowledgeable, professional and so sweet! Once my skin was cleansed and glowing I was on to experience a Fresh Signature Body Wrap and some Reflexology by Massage Therapist, Lauren Fitzgerald.

All I have to say is that she’s my new favorite person! Fresh has options for everyone – basic, couples, hot stone and even prenatal massages!

Then off to hair and makeup with stylist/colorist, Courtney Franklin. Let’s be real, usually getting your hair done for an hour just turns into staring at the mirror or reading a magazine, but Courtney and I were chatting up a storm the whole time, I had so much fun!

Fresh is a full service salon, spa and boutique so you’ll be able to get everything you could possibly desire at one location.

After relaxing, waxing, primping and prepping, we all know that one of the most fun is the clothes! Lana Moriece styled me head to toe and each piece she pulled I can honestly say I’ve not seen anything like it before. Ashley told me how she selects items for the boutique, “I think most women want to feel sexy but classy, and current but age appropriate.  I always keep this in mind when choosing our clothing and accessories, in addition to considering quality, price, and practicality.”

You’ll leave looking and feeling well… FRESH. There, I said it!
